Do you shoot weddings?
I'd love to! They're on my 2024 goals list! If you scroll over to my pricing page you can see some sweet deals I have going on right now for weddings!
Will there be a second shooter?
Nope! Just me! When I host events like mini sessions, I'll usually have an assistant to help me keep things rolling.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Not always but sometimes! It would really depend on my availability and it would increase the price you've paid. Always ask!
What kind of gear do you use?
Canon!
Do I have to order prints through you?
I encourage it! Because I know the labs I work with are high quality printing labs and it's conveniently set up to be connected right to your gallery and it has everything from canvas', to prints, to cards. But full rights to your images come with them. So I want you to use this for what you'd like!
What's your rate?
My average client can expect to spend $1200 as of Jan 2024. This can increase depending on the type of shoot, the time needed, how many members in the party, travel time, etc. It's always best to just fill out an inquiry, but you can get a good idea from the Pricing page on your session fee, the collections available for purchase, etc. I also allow for pre session payment plans!
Why are your prices higher than others?
When you book a photography service, it's a luxury. It's artwork, heirlooms, peace of mind, convenience, content for your pages for years to come, connecting the living to the dead, and it may be all you have one day. I value my work and I know it's worth it, trust me.
But from the business side, you get to use these photos forever, while I get paid once and have to use that for many things; editing softwares, website subscriptions, email subscription fees, fees for you to use certain forms of payment, taxes, insurance, online gallery fees, equipment, etc. Also, while your session may only be 30-60 minutes, photographers spend hours afterwards editing, organizing, uploading, etc. We truly put our heart and soul into this work to make sure that our 30 minute session lasts you a lifetime. It's worth the investment to have something to cherish for generations. I hope this helps!
Do you have a studio?
I have plenty to use! But I don't own my own personal one! I'm a lifestyle photographer. I do occasionally rent spaces for mini sessions or events but primarily I specialize in more natural settings. With enough time and planning I can rent an indoor space if you'd like but it's not included in most of my packages so it's an extra cost to you and it does mean my work may look a little different based on the venue and it's lighting. It's always worth asking though!
I'm a business, do you offer service exchanges?
ALMOST always! If we can be mutually beneficial I rarely say no! Give me a pitch!
So does my session fee include digital images?
There's a few packages that offer some as a courtesy that you'll get right when you begin your selection process but the rest are purchased as a collection after your session.
What's your process like?
You inquire, we set up a consult, you select your package and date & put down a deposit & sign a contract. We shoot, I send you a preview album for you to pick your photos from, I edit them, and boom.
